Last weekend I had the honour of joining fellow poets Peter Frankis, James Roy, Adara Enthaler, Lady Lore, and Bella Luna on stage for an evening of poetry readings as a part of the South Coast Writers Festival.
It was a great privilege to share the space with such wonderful poets from the Illawarra and abroad. We share lyrics of love and loss, beaches and battlefields, wattle trees and rushes.
My many thanks to Dr Sarah Nicholson for coordinating the festival and helping to keep the lifeblood of the arts flowing on the South Coast through all the work of the South Coast Writers Centre. We have some amazing talent, who came out in numbers to hear from the stella lineup over the Friday and Saturday events. It was a real treat to have the first copies of my book with me as well. Having just been released by Vagabond Press and hot off the mailman's truck, it was a very special moment to see it on sale alongside so many other great authors at Enough Said Books.
